Idaho Top Four Ranked Choice Voting Initiative

Vote No!

Proposition 1 – “Top-Four Ranked Choice Voting Initiative” – as an initiated state statute

  • Yes Vote – supports establishment of top-four primaries AND Ranked-Choice Voting for general elections – will apply to congressional, gubernatorial, state, and county elected offices.
    • Top-Four Primary is where all candidates are listed on same ballot.  Voters choose one candidate per office, regardless of party affiliation.  Top four vote getters advance to general election regardless of their party affiliations.  Therefore, it is possible for four candidates from same political party to win and face off in the general election.
  • No Vote – opposes, thereby maintaining that all political candidates must be nominated by primary election.
  • Oppose – Vote No
